    Hi,
    Mid 45s male, fit enough but lost any upper body definition & would like to tone up & lose some belly.

    If they're 2 very separate things (belly-less calories, more planks, situps I guess) I'm happy to focus on toning first.

    I have dumbbells bit no other equipment. I know I could do reps of X & Y but something led would be less boring.

    Any recommendations please? I've done a few Joe Wicks & like them but they were more full body, hiit.

    As you kind of allude to yourself, there are two aspects to what you seem to be looking for. Eating cleaner / potential calorie deficit. And resistance training to build muscle mass.

    Training at home with minimal equipment is a challenge, there's been extensive discussion of it on the forum through 2020.

    I've posted it before - and I have no connection with them - but I really like the programming from Mountain Tactical Institute. It's a mixture of body weight training and varied running. You do need a pull-up bar for it.

    If you are mainly interested in upper body training, then you could dip your toes in the water with their three week pull-up and push-up density training programme: https://mtntactical.com/shop/3-week-push-pull-improvement-training-plan/

    If you're starting from a low base at the moment, and you address your diet, then I think either of these done properly would leave you happier with your appearance.

    Of course if you have the programming know-how or are prepared to read a bit, and can sort the wheat from the chaffe, you don't need to buy a program... But honestly, it's underrated just to pay a relatively small amount for a couple of months programming and then just get it done. You could spend a week researching and end up picking a dud programme too.
