    Merry Christmas,

I have a lot of condensation in digger cab.

Any advice on best way to redo the roof?

It is just the metal part that is left.

    Pic attached.

    Thanks

Cut some 9mm ply in a template.

Cover the front with carpet material. Available in eBay used for lining vans , campers etc.

Contact adhesive carpet to your plywood and stick the ply to the ceiling with tube of gripfill.

Bit off subject but similar query. Condensation in my jeep is terrible, and Heater isn’t great so slow to clear. Any tips on stopping it?

Have you all glass clean, condensation sticks to dirt,
    Is all vents clean,
Have you any damp things lying in jeep
A good clean out if not.

Ya jeep is damp usually, from wet boots and maybe damp seats from wet gear. Will try all you suggested. Thanks

Make sure the recirculating air vent is not closed, it is the number two cause of steamy windows.

We had a car here before that was terrible for windows foggy up in wet weather. We were advised to pull out the pollen filter. Once we did that it was prefect. From memory I think it was behind the glovebox.

If it’s a hilux or land cruiser some of them have an issue with a small trickle getting in through the ditch mould on the roof. I’ve tried ( half arsedly) fix mine to no success . The truth e told a bit of condensation on the inside of the jeep is probably the least of my worries.

Is the floor in either footwell wet? Leaks behind the dash in the heater matrix can cause this.

Stick some carpet to the roof, for the lads with window condensation get tint film, the lightest tint you can get.

Got the plywoods and stretch carpet.

Need to attach it now. Can I apply the gripfill directly to roof and ply or does there need to be a gap there between roof and ply for any reason.

Thanks for all the advice on this.

Clearfix or tec 7 smeared out will work better than gripfill the grip fill is too thick and more likely to break off in time.
