Hi, does anyone have any thoughts on this estate? We are looking at this area to purchase or rent out.

    The name screams floodplain.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Didnt think water came up that far. The club are trying to build as astro beside the old pitch so if that is happening will u be beside it. It will probably have flood lights. Near all the amenities.

It did flood a bit back during the bad floods a few years ago. No house damage but there was water on the roads of the estate.
Note that there has been extensive flood relief works since then over in the village at the castle and back along the river so this might not be a concern.

After the crash there was a big divide in the estate. Front good (finished, many owner occupied). Back bad. (Many unfinished, near ghost estate status, some finished units rented to the council).
This may have changed over the last couple of years and improved now that all the units are completed and common areas landscaped.

The field that back part is in is a turlough. Not sure if that means it'll flood at some stage but worth knowing.

    Hi,

Looking for some info on living in Claregalway... Currently looking at some houses that are for sale in 'Cuirt na Habhainn'?.

There seems to be a lot of talk of this social housing coming in and anti social behaviour
