    Good morning

I learned how to swim at 30, when I managed to finish a length I started using a book called "Total Immersion" to help.

According to that book an elite swimmer's performance can be split up into 70% swim mechanics and 30% fitness. For ordinary smohs like me what % does swim mechanics make up in my performance?

I can't believe Kolido doubted my ability to come up with ridiculous questions

What made you decide to learn how to swim?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,863 ✭✭✭Mollyb60

I'm from the midlands, I don't need to know how to swim.

Thought my notifications may not be working so logged in to see what I missed.

Does the lack of debate mean everyone knows the answer except me or are they all scribbling away on blackboards and pushing beads around abacuses?

    EDIT: Abaci? Abacuses?

I'm going to pick my head up out of the sand any minute now, throw a dart at a board on the wall and come up with the right answer that way.

    Maybe.

When I remember what the question actually is......

Could be. Kind of a jelly based slush puppy maybe?

    Patent pending.

Having finally applied myself (in the most minor of ways) to this...... I've now realised I don't even know whether I should go up or down from 70% :o

That's the beauty of this question I think. Two tiers to it.
