A quartz kitchen clock stopped working about a month ago and I replaced the battery without joy - but it came to life today for about an hour when it was relocated. I'd love to get it working again. Any ideas appreciated. TIA

First thing I'd try would be to take some sandpaper to the contacts in the battery bay and see if that sorts thing. If that didn't work I'd look on ebay for a replacement movement. Most such quartz clocks have generic movements that are available and cheap.
