Can anyone suggest some UK/Ireland car auction sites with a good selection of cars?

I'm looking for an older Audi/BMW/VW estate

    TIA

I'd recommend Merlin. Never bought a car from there but procedures and car details are very transparent.

Bought a few cars from Merlin, most of them online, very very easy to get on with.

It's €1k to log in to bid which will be refunded if you don't buy.

Buy their snapshot first to get an idea of ballpark sale prices and get a guideline of fee's involved.

You can bid live on the day or set a max bid before the auction starts and the auctioneer will bid on your behalf.

If you have a winning bid, i think it's 3 working days then to get the car collected.

Would highly recommend. Only downside which isn't really Merlins issue is the auctions are so variable. Some days there's savage bargains, other days cars will be going for way over what you'd consider to be retail.
