I know this is a long shot.

want to refurbish my vector 1 pedals. Spoke with Garmin today and they want me to buy Vectors 3s @ 30% discount on RRP. Not keen on spending that kind off money, especially with all the issues V3s seem to have.

    All i need is this part# Garmin Vector© Pedal Body/Assembly 010-11251-10

Seems to be available on the Garmin US site but not in the UK or Ireland.

So if anybody has this kit at home i'd be interested in purchasing.

I've scored Garmin bits recently that were only on the US site - emailed Garmin about them and they sent them on free of charge. - Small stuff like the rubber grommet that goes in the charge port of a garmin headunit, and the coin-opened battery compartment doors of the Garmin 2 pods. Also a couple of replacement straps for a vivoactive 3 smart watch (they sell straps on the US site, but not on the euro one, when I enquired they sent me free ones!) - Could be worth an email. I've found their customer service brilliant that way.

But I wouldn't have thought 199 bucks would be a worthwhile investment in first gen Garmin pedals. I don't see myself migrating to the Garmin 3's either when the inevitable time comes and my 2's give up the ghost, but I'd be more inclined to look at another power metre option rather than throwing good money after bad.

Is the 30% discount getting you them at a good enough price that you would be able to sell them on quickly and cover some of the cost of the spares for your other pedals?
I've been tempted by the Garmin pedals or the Favero (which seem to have a better rep for reliability) but the reliability stories on the Garmins scares me off a bit and neither being available with SPD SL cleats is probably why I haven't pulled the trigger on buying something.

There’s a pair of pedal (bodies only) on eBay for £75

    Thanks all.

Contacted seller in ebay but i think Fat Bloke is right, not really worth the investment, its like throwing good money after bad.

Think i will go with a quarq or a cheap stages if i can get one.

    Cheers,
    Barleyman
