Buying spare wheels

Looking to get a spare set of wheel for the CX bike so I can pick tyres on the morning of the spin based on the terrain. Problem is the axles are a bit odd, 100mm x 15mm thru axle front and 135mm x 10mm rear, centre lock brakes. Can't find anything with that combination so have a couple of questions;

What adapters can I use to allow a wider range of wheels? Guessing I can use end caps of some kind to bring the 135x10 rear to 148x12 keeping the current skewer, not sure if there are similar options for the 100x15 front.

I'm assuming centre lock and 6 bolt disc brakes end up with the same disc position with respect to frame. I want these to be drop in replacements so wondering are there any other pitfalls to watch out for?

Current wheels are DT Swiss R24s which I find to be solid all rounders. Any recommendations for the second set? Would consider higher spec or lower spec. Currently looking at DT SWISS CR 1600 if I can get the axle issues sorted but open to any suggestions.

Some wheelsets come with through-axle > QR adapters, or such adapters are available extra from the manufacturer. You could install the front one only and you're good to go 😊

Plenty of axle conversion options out there for DT Swiss and others but not cheap.

FWIW, I was in the same position as the OP, I had Lucasz in Apex Cyles build me up a set of wheels with DT Swiss 350 hubs and DT Swiss RR481db rims, probably worked out a little dearer than those CR1600s but they are lovely wheels and I'd hope they'll last ages. Currently running 32mm Panaracer Gravelking slicks on them and they make the CX bike (alu and built like a tank) feel positively comfortable.

CR1600 new come with 3 sets of adapters which is great considering how much the adapters cost separately.

Great set of wheels, would like CR1400 also as a slight upgrade.

I bought the dt 1800 for €220, the 370 hubs are not as good as the 350, but they use the same adapters. Ive also got a set of ffwd with 350 hubs, the adapters are great, I can swap all wheels between my bikes, some QR and some thru axle-you just need the adapter for the front so?
