Yaris rear brake noise

I have a noise coming from the rear of my car when I brake. The noise only happens the first few times I brake after starting off, then it goes and i don't notice it. It sounds like as if the brake shoes are shot but I gave it to a mechanic last year and told him about the noise and he changed shoes, pads and discs, so the shoes are good. The braking isn't effected and is good and sharp. The handbrake isn't the tightest but still works well for a 05 car.

How regular is the car driven. If its parked up for a few days, there could be a bit of rust.

It's driven nearly every day mostly short trips.
