Possible cambelt issues?

    Hi all,

I have a 2015 MK5 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI and recently got the cam belt kit and water pump done.

All was fine for the first day after getting it done but went on a good bit of a drive the day after and of course I forgot to disable to auto start/stop before setting off. Stopped at the traffic lights and it kicked in. Lights went green, pressed in the clutch and it struggled to start. Was just clicking but eventually started.

First thought was battery, tested it and it was fine. Even cold starting, it starts at the click of the button. No rattles or noises coming from engine bay, no leaks.

Tested again today, started cold no problems. Warmed her up and started again but struggled to start and this time when i pressed in the accelerator there were vibrations coming from the engine. Turned her off straight away and started again, no problems/vibration etc.

Plugged into Forscan and it's showing P0014 - B Camshaft Position Timing - Over Advanced and in additional information it says 'Signal above allowable range'.

I'm thinking timing is off? I'm bringing it back in tomorrow for them to check the timing but would there be anything else to look out for damage wise if the timing had slipped?

    Cheers

Sorry forgot to mention, I've checked the camshaft censors and all fine, power going to them etc.

I think you answered your own question, sounds like the timing is off and needs to be set and the error cleared.

I have 2.0 TDCI 132 kW. After faults reset, fault P0014 came after first start. Cold start was OK, but warm starts - 50% was 5-10 seconds starting. It was really annoying.

With free version of Forscan I made: Reset learned values of camshaft position sensor.

And now so far, so good, no fault and warm starts are all easy.
