My elderly Mum is with Eir and they have reduced the plan she is with in that she used to have to top up by 10 euro each month to get unlimited network calls. This has been changed to having to top up every 14 days. She doesn't use the internet. Can anyone advise of a better deal for her for just making phone calls from her phone?

Well how many calls does she actually make ? Does it make sense to just go the PAYG route ? Maybe a 10 or 20 topup gives a free month, but then use the credit over the next X months.

If she has a Sim free phone, maybe look at GoMo

    48.ie

€7.99 a month for life if she switches before January 5th.

    Unlimited National minutes and texts
100GB national data and 10GB to use in the EU.

Use a referral link and she'll get a free month too.

She doesn't make too many calls but when she does she could be on then for a few minutes up to 10 in some. With 48 is it online direct debit payment or can you top up in a shop which she would prefer. She doesn't do online banking or pay bills online.

No offline top up with 48 but anyone can top up/buy membership online via the gift shop.

If phone is locked to Eir then it needs unlocking to use on any other network.

You can also just add her card on 48.ie and then set it to auto-renew.

What do AnPost have to offer ?

Lots of shops sell Lyca topups ( so she can top up with cash ) so Lyca plans that might suit :

    https://www.lycamobile.ie/en/bundle/talk-text-s/ ( kind of a mean plan for Irish calls 9/30days )

https://www.lycamobile.ie/en/bundle/international-red/ ( lots of minutes to just about anywhere in Europe and India for 12/30days :) )

She's with Eir. You used to have to pay 10 euro a month for unlimited calls however now it's 10 every 14 days.
