Company keeps delaying money owed

    Hello,

Just looking for a bit of advice.

I am due a large payment from a company I used to work for. This payment was due to me in March 2020, but I left the company in October. The payment was due before Covid hit and before I quit.

I got confirmation before and after resigning from the HR department that the payment was going to be made in November 2020. No payment was made, and after chasing them, I was told they are delaying it again until next year because they are struggling financially because of Covid. They are delaying this payment since March.

I have no confidence left, and I want all money owed to me to be paid and put working for this company behind me.

I read that the small claims court does not apply to debts owed by a business? I thought the small claims court was the perfect way to go for this kind of thing, but now I'm not sure.

Can anybody give me solid advice on what the best route to take is to get the money owed?

    Many thanks!

What about the Workplace relations Commission? https://www.workplacerelations.ie/en/ . You need to have evidence that you attempted to resolve the issue with your company and did not succeed, You then need to make a complaint. This may be done online or in hard copy in a form which they will send to your address.
