Two sides to a story

There are a lot of replies here to people whose spouses or partners have been unfaithful to them. The vast majority of these replies are in support of and offer advice to the person being cheated on. At this point, I must emphasise that I consider cheating and infidelity to be a terrible abuse of trust and certain to cause long lasting irreparable damage to a relationship.
While not intending to belittle those who have been wronged, or what they're going through, sometimes I wonder if there's another untold side to each situation? What were the cheaters' motives for doing what they did?
To this end I believe there should be a strictly moderated board here for those who have cheated on their spouse or partner and the reasons that they have done so and how they justify their behaviour.
    Any thoughts on this?

This is an advice forum, what you describe would be a vindication or validation forum and I don’t really see the point in that.

    Cheaters gonna cheat.

Have you cheated on somebody? Have you been cheated on?

Mod note: PI is an advice forum, not a general discussion forum. As the OP doesn’t seem to be requesting advice on a situation, I shall close this thread.

OP, if you have a specific question you would like advice on, you can start a new thread.
