Mattie Mcgrath states "I don't trust the figures. I don't trust the PCR tests, and that's been proven, and ye won't let any of the scientists with a contrarian view, or medics, in an ass's roar of ye. There's a controlled opposition and controlled media"

Its good to see elected TD's highlighting how controlled our media is. Hopefully it will wake a few people up.

Not worthy of a post, let alone a thread

Spreading Covid-19 is as safe as driving while drunk.

Well he's right in so far as the way we measure deaths and cases is ludicrous.

I don't agree with Mcgrath but allowing opposing views can only be good.

Elected TD in favour of Drink Driving remains woefully out of touch.

Now that something approaching an end is in sight, expect to see a lot more of these clowns out chasing the nutjob vote

    McGrath being a contrarian.

    Startling.

Nah. The general level of critical thinking and basic reading comprehension just aren't good enough. People want to "make up their own minds" about this stuff, but the average punter just doesn't have the brains to reach the right conclusion.

Another anonymous "nationalist" twitter account posting anti-lockdown stuff.

I would normally agree but, in todays world, daft ideas can get traction no matter how often they are refuted. LBJ knew that many years ago. When told an accusation he made was untrue, he sais "Yes but I want to hear the ***** deny it"

Ah the usual msm don't report stuff angle.
Given that people know what a gobsh1te he is op, not really going to help get conspiracy theories across as fact except for a few delusional souls.

You must believe the media investigate and report everything accurately :pac:

Is Mattie getting constantly elected some sort of in joke I'm not aware of?

No, but I can recognise a gobsh1te fairly easily, especially in Maties case

That's a fairly lame accusation to make tbh,
why is he a gobsh1te ? What has he done to upset you so?

For me , he is great and I'm his #1 fan now.
Aside from Michael McNamara TD he is the only TD to challenge the government during this crisis. Shameful silence from the backbench and the opposition parties during this national crisis. All of them stealing a living in the Dail.

The Healy Raes did challenge too - but theirs was self serving . All they cared was for their boozers so I'll ignore that

Using Mattie McGrath TD in some sort of "argument from authority".

In what way did he challenge the government?

There's a fella outside my local spar "challenging the govt" every day, so.

Wonder if MMG TD also reeks of p1ss?

I know it's only your 22nd post, but really you've to be clearer

Is my seat in the dáil- I have none by the way- beside whose? MMG TD or the other fella I instanced who "challenged the govt" to the same very high standard instanced?

TD's get a dail seat, it should be easy enough for you to figure it out

As my posting record on here will attest, I keep well abreast of the goings on in Irish politics.

I want you to explain what Mattie McGrath has done to challenge the government in a meaningful way...
