Power Flushing

    Hi
I had a guy service my boiler and bleed my radiators. One large one in the downstairs living room is not heating up, and is mostly cold at the bottom. He said it would probably need a power flush to get rid of any gunk that has built up.

Is it possible to get just one radiator done? The rest of the radiators in the house seem fine.
And could anyone PM me a recommendation of a company with a good rep that could do this? many thanks.

First try turning off half the other radiators in that zone to see if that one heats up properly. It might not be a sludge problem. Was that rad part of the original install?

    Thanks for the reply.
The rad is a newer one, in an extended part of the house, ground floor. The boiler guy turned off the others to try that but it didn't make a difference.

Radiator needs to be taken off and checked then.

It could be sludge. If it was getting insufficient supply turning off the other rads should have heated it.

If you have a digital circulating pump, it could be tried on manual, but you need to know how to re-set it to where it is at the moment.
