According to multiple new stories Apple Pay (but not Google Pay) is now available for Permanent TSB customers.

No news on the webpages / open24 about it.
And also, not listed on the participating bank list of apple

I tried but was unable to do so.

It was just hanging on "adding Card", does not give a warning, error message or anything so I had to cancel it.

    News Example.

Adrian Weckler (Indo & Sunday Indo tech editor) tweeted this morning (10:37) .... 'Apple Pay now live on Permanent TSB'

He's active on Twitter, post him a question if you can't get it to work. He would likely call them to get it sorted if there's an issue.

    And info now from ptsb

    https://www.permanenttsb.ie/ApplePay/

To add a debit card via their app and credit card via the apple wallet.

And after I reinstalled the app and made it a trusted device I was offered to add the debit card to apple pay.

Hopefully it's a good sign that google pay will follow suit soon after. Though I won't hold my breath.

Get a FREE Curve card as a workaround.

I did this for my Dad, it's working very well for him. I think PTSB must be the last large retail bank in Ireland not offering Google Pay now. I think Bank of Ireland started offering it a few weeks ago.

Can Revolut be set up if you are with PTSB?

Why is it that every thread in banking these days immediate ends up in a Curve or Revolut discussion?

You can find Revolut thread here:
    https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2058036916

But yes, you can use your PTSB Debit or Credit Card to top up Revolut, you can make a transfer from PTSB to your GB or LT IBAN or you can use their new Easy Bank Transfer with PTSB too.
