PAYE with Self-Employment under €5,000

    I'm a PAYE worker and have this year started working on a side-project online. This income is not taxed at source, and will work out to less than €5,000 annually.

    My main question really is; do I need to do anything before the December 10th file-and-pay deadline next month - or can I just relax for now and pay all the Tax/PRSI/USC in a lump sum payment when I file my 2020 returns - using Form 12 - before October 31, 2021?

    And just for confirmation about Preliminary Tax to see if I understood correctly;

    Preliminary-tax is only paid by those registered as self-assessed.
    You only need to register as self-assessed if non-PAYE income is over 5k.
    So - full circle - preliminary tax only needs to be paid if non-PAYE earnings are over 5k?

    Thanks, have a great week.
