A friend has his driving test next thur and recieved a text to say part of his test will be social distancing outside weather permitting. Anyone done their test under L5 lockdown. What exactally is involved during the test involved cant seem to find much info on google. He seems to think part of the test will be the tester on the side of the road watching him due u turn and three point turn reverse around a corner etc. Any one any info will be a great help. thanks in advance.

So I don't post very often - apologies if I'm disobeying any rules etc. My son sat his driving test today- first one and he's an essential worker. The tester made an issue about his learner permit and said she didn't believe it was him in the picture. He was a bit taken aback but produced his older learning permit which he happened to have in his pocket- but she wasn't satisfied. (His jawline was different in the photo🙄 ). She told him she would have to talk to her supervisor. After leaving briefly she came back and looked for another form of ID. He had his public services card and she finally accepted this. At this stage my son was a bit flummoxed and failed the test . He has no issue with the failing of the test. It's his first one and he is young. He is more worried about meeting the same tester the next time around because we are in a small rural town. She didn't offer any apology. Has this ever happened anyone before?

There have been efforts to fraudulently sit the test. The tester does need to satisfy themselves that the person is who they say they are. It’s unfortunate for your son. How long has he had his learner permit? Where did he sit the test?
Tell him not to worry about getting the next tester again, she won’t have it in for him or anything.
