    Lord knows, I tried!

But seriously, watching the coverage on all the news networks, and taking Bernie Sanders point, no-one seems prepared to stand up to the man. The GOP seems to be paralysed by fear. I truly believe he will try to bring the Country down with him before January.

They are scared of their own supporters turning on them the next elections. Trump is "GOD" to a lot of these people.

I can see him fading into the background already, but then again, that could be my own biases at play, I largely ignore him anyway, there's no intelligence there, so why bother. I'd like to think the republicans will just continue to depower him now

So your question is can Trump and the American people standing against Big Tech and the MSM be silenced. Thankfully he’s not a coward and will stand against them.

the level of intelligence required to think, "Trump's my guy" truly is frightening

Serious contributions only please. Posts deleted.

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

Of course he can be stopped. What might be more difficult is stopping the Trumpists and the Republicans who, on the face of it don't seem to have any critical faculties at all.

I think it's more a question of if the GOP will allow him to continue trying to undermine an election via propaganda. Nothing to do with the media or social media at this stage. (Also he wouldn't be president without social media imo)

What do you mean by "stopped" OP? He was stopped last week and is showing infantile levels of sore loser. He'll be gone out of the White House by 20th of January come what may.
I just hope the GOP in 2024 can at least put a candidate forward who won't just spread bile and hate for 4 years. What Trump has done to the office can never be allowed to happen again.

Good explainer here from an American ex-military, Security specialist about the possibility of Trump using the military to stay in power.

Spoiler alert: It isn't going to happen

    76 million voted against him.

If we're throwing around numbers we may as well make it clear that you're referring to a minority of people. It is a large minority, but it's still the minority.

As Trump said - a victory of 306 EC votes is a landslide. Biden has won by a landslide :)

Not to mention Big Votes being against him.

    Bigly.

    Voting irregularities.

    Maybe, maybe not.

Let him go to court and see if there's proof. What's the problem. If there's no proof he's gone. What are you all worried about.

Dont worry ten weeks from now america will be quietly colonising the world with good PR, business as usual.

This 4 years of admitting the reality of it will be swept under the carpet just like the time Japan sent some planes to bomb all the territories they wanted to liberate from america and also bombed their naval base.

We only ever hear about the naval base. We only get told they were evil.

That's all well and good to say, but in a world where people get all their information from a carefully curated social media stream that prioritises keeping you engaged with a specific platform over providing a rigorously fact-checked news source, Trump merely spouting this nonsense is enough do huge damage in a large amount of peoples faith in the integrity of the electoral system, no matter how many of his claims get disproven.

Hopefully america can get back to business over the next 4 years. I mean it's been a fair while since they invaded/stole resources/bombed some third world country into the ground.

oh very true, but this is far from over, the dems are seriously under pressure here, they dont have much time to make considerable changes, or there could be mayhem in 24

But is Trump admitting the reality of it? For example, he talks a lot about how past presidents were mad for wars and all he wants to do is pull troops out of foreign lands.... But after 3 years in office he had authorised twice as many drone strikes as Obama had in 8 years.

Don't get me wrong, U. S. foreign policy has been fairly horrific for a long long time, and the damage they have done internationally is far-reaching, but this idea that Trump has in some way been better than what has come before (or at the least, no worse) because of that doesn't hold up for me.

He'll definitely be back in contention for the 2024 election, I really hope he loses this one and doesn't get in again. I dont even mind him that much, but his supporters unequivocal support of a fallible human being got old, quick.

Theyve tried to convince me that hes actually Jesus come back to get rid of of all the paedos, people who know I'm atheist, and they still expect to take them seriously.

Standing up against big tech, big elections, The News and democracy. What a guy.

He’s doing a total war strategy. He’ll almost certainly lose but he’s trying to put as many pieces in place in case he can hold on. For example he fired the defence guy who wouldn’t use military troops against civilians and replaced him with a Trump man. Why? In case he needs to use troops against civilians. It’s unlikely to happen but he’s preparing all the same.

If he can keep the court cases going until they have to certify then he can try to give some latitude for the electors to give him the electoral college votes when they meet in December.

Everything about it is a long shot but he’s preparing to hang on. It’s pretty clear he won’t go unless all avenues to holding on are completely gone.

he might just have brought the war energy home!

Well if that's what you are hoping for, the good news is that business has been booming on the bombing side of things anyway.

His legal team quit yesterday so there's clearly not anything to give credence to.

How he managed to somewhat balance the economy while turning his back on the industrial military comex is beyond me.

There will be a big shock when the next fella arrives and nothing really happens. Youd think he is locked up in the white house starving prisoners and Biden is going to break down the castle wall and free all the slaves.

Is there any real policy that is totally time sensitive that Biden is waiting to implement, something that will show any instant real change?

Arms sales have increased under Trump....

The Democrats, media and permanent government are desperate for Trump to leave the White House before he does something unthinkable...
Like bring home US troops from Afghanistan!

Trump Pentagon Purge Could Accelerate His Goal to Pull Troops From Afghanistan
President Trump’s supporters hope he is the president to end America’s longest war.

Lets hope Biden gets in to stop this madness!

Does anyone still seriously believe that Trump is not going to leave the White House in January, even yesterday he pretty much admitted it himself, what he's doing now is all for show, planting the seed of doubt about the election results and laying the foundations to run again in 2024

    ...

Why would you think he turned his back on the military industrial complex. He increased military budgets and sold more arms. Did you think what you said was true or did you just say it anyway?

If they left it up to him, in the way it’s been up to every other president in the history of the country, then he wouldn’t leave. If they force him out then he’ll leave.

Saudi Arabia are buying more weapons and you use that as a stick to beat Trump with. It really is a dog and pony show where you can post a link and a statement and people who want to believe you will with no question.
