    Just wondering how long it takes to show up online with the new reg number was changed on Thursday stil doesn’t recognise new number online?

    You’d probably have to tax it first.

    Put the reg number and last 6 digits of the chassis number into motortax.ie - see if it comes up.

    I thought it wud have to be registered to get tax but I don’t know to be honest

    It would be, but it wouldn’t appear on online searches straight away.

    As above, try motortax.ie first - if it comes up then it’s registered.


    By registered, I mean on an Irish reg number.

    It is registered, if you have a reg number. But as colm said, you'll probably need to tax it online first.

    These types of sites (the car check ones, not motortax.ie) are not real-time either, they only update with new registrations once a week or so.

    Use the last 6 digits of the vin as the pin.

    Have done it countless times and most recently last weekend with a G30 from the UK.

    Try motorcheck this morning, updates once a week in the small hours of a Sunday night/Monday morning
