    Hello,

house just blocked. When can I plaster?
Also, does fascia and soffit go on before or after plastering?

    Many thanks

Walls could (and should) be scudded before doors and windows go in. Fascia and soffit and gutters can be done now, with temporary downpipes (110mm sewer pipe) to divert water from gutters away from wall. No rendering/ plastering until windows and doors are fitted, air tightness tapes around windows etc.

Some of the newer plastering technologies which are acrylic polymer based may have different requirements but traditional sand and cement renders are 3 coat finishes and a scud coat is essential. It's a proven technique that results in a good mechanical key.
