Hi All, does anyone know what circular applies to moving over to the Higher Scale please?
I think you move over at the same rate of pay so no immediate benefit, but i want to find out how it changes increment date going forward.
I have had a look at Circulars.gov.ie, but I was not sure i was finding the right info.
Appreciate if anyone has information, thank you

I'd love to know too - my department is less than transparent when it comes to this kind of thing, the recent internal promotions went tits up and it doesn't seem like they actually know what they're doing. Would love to know if anybody in my department is on the higher scale, I actually doubt it.

Apparently 25% of CO's should be on the higher scale, that's what my department said last. There were a few people on it originally and then suddenly over the last few years they gave out a lot more. They should have a list of who's due it next.

Colleague was recently told that they are due to be considered for upgrade to Higher Scale based on seniority. However, they were told that if successful, the date of upgrade would be over a year ago.

Wonder why the delay in dealing with this?

It seems like there's no hard and fast rule for the higher allowances from all that I've heard, or else each department have a completely different interpretation of the payment. There are rumours and fairytales, and I would love to get to the bottom of them for my own sanity!!!
