    It is beyond you why I used boards.ie and couldn’t ask at the shop?

    The reason is not relevant to my question and the helpful responses shouted that boards.ie members had no problem with that. Only the moderators.

    However here are a few that should have occurred to you.

    The OP needs the refund in cash for some reason. Or needs the funds back in the card.We are in a lockdown and supposed to be restricting our movements so the OP wanted to weigh the value of going to the shop...

    The OP might need the cash and works a shift that makes getting to the store difficult and so wanted to judge whether it might be worth the trip or to leave it for another time...

    The OP’s shift prevents him from getting to the store but someone else can go and the OP needs to know whether to leave the debit card with the items...

    What happened here was a moderate was in a huff and then got in a bigger after being told he was told he was being huffy.

    It is not right that if a moderator is involved in a failure of any nature that he/she moderates the dispute.

    A second moderator, who does not take sides should be called in.
