    It's a bank holiday weekend
Give it a few more days

Is this payment actually dated on a Monday and you just happen to have a bank that shows the payment on a Saturday? If this is the case unfortunately the bank holiday will have affected it.

They said it is always in the bank account on a Saturday. Why would the BH affect it?

There was an industry wide issue with Euro Bank payments on Friday afternoon, so I'm surprised that your bank didn't mention that, when you spoke to them.

    Thanks,

    G.

Does that mean it will be Tuesday at that earliest before any payments?

I think she was trying to fob me off, they replied on twitter as that was the only way of contacting them on a Saturday. Thanks for the update

We normally get ours every Saturday too (AIB) and on BH weekends, it always goes in on a Friday. We assumed something had gone wrong. Huge panic here as it's currently our only source of income and weve just had a baby, so it's going to be a long wait until Tuesday!

There's been a lot of reports on various Threads about other payments mysteriously being paid on Saturday just gone when payments normally paid Tuesday, some got payments (PUP) others did not. I believe its a banking payments issue and depending on your bank & bank holidays. I've a KBC account for years and I know from experience, no electronic lodgements enter my account on weekends or bank holiday Mondays either, also no direct debits go out even if due on weekends and instead go out on the next normal business day.

Unfortunately for us, all our normal direct debits were taken, so it looks like they're all going to bounce on us :(

Are you able to look back at last bank holiday date on your bank account, just to see if your payment went is as normal? This might show you if bank holidays historically affects payment date?

It always went in on a Friday for every Bank Holiday, I mentioned that in my last post. This is the first time it hasn't. No notice from either banks or the Dept. to indicate people expecting a payment might have to go without!
