Testing a Generator

    Hi,

Can someone tell me how to check if an AVR is working on a generator? The generator is producing 0v output as the sockets/gauge.

I've looked on the Generator Guru website and followed his instructions, obtaining the following values:
    Check Expected Actual
    ------------------------------
    Brushes 5V 9.4V
    L1/L2 5V 15V
    R1/R2 5V 9.2V
    R1/L1 5V 15V

Not sure where I go from here. Can anyone help?

Also, I need to purchase an AVR for another generator that has blown up, where is the best place to get them - ensuring I get the right one - it only states XL2-2.8KW and the date (of manufacture I presume).
I went to purchase off the Generator Guru website directly, but they were looking £100 for two AVRs. One is definitely gone (side blown out) and the other is of unknown behaviour.
