Hey there. Just a real quick question if you would be so kind as to help.
I had fibre installed on Monday and my 18 year old was home as I was at work. the engineer literally placed the black hub where it would reach and didn't place it in the location of my existing hub from sky q. If I was home I would have asked him to run it there, So I now need to purchase an ethernet cable to run it to that location.
Am I OK to do this or do I have to use the cable (really short one) provided and if I can buy one is there a particular spec I need to look for?

Run a new CAT6 ethernet cable from the where the ONT is to your preferred location.
    Enjoy your fibre speed :)

CAT5E capable of 1Gb speeds too.
I’ve tested this cable personally, 40m link , 1 Gb speeds confirmed, extremely thin round cable , 5mm diameter or so.
