Extract drill bit from wood and attach chuck?

Drilling some wood with a 13mm wood drill bit the bit broke and the drill fell apart. I would like to reuse the pressure treated wood but don't know how to get the broken drill bit out? Any advice?

Also, when I screw back the chuck into the body it keeps coming off when used. Tightening the 2 screws on the top of the body where the chuck screws on does not seem to help. Any thoughts?

The old trick if no vice grip to hand, put chuck back on and having it unplugged insert key into chuck and give it a further tap with hammer to tighten it further should then have have enough force in reverse to remove drill bit.

If you open the chuck there should be a left-hand screw inside that holds the chuck to the drill.

Vise grips or pliers to remove twist drill bit, the chuck is usually held on by a screw that bolts to the drill body from inside the chuck.

Don't think my drills have reverse but I was able to get my second around the bit and shake it out :)

I found that screw on the garage floor, nice one!
It screwed it in reverse thread without the chuck on, with the chuck on it keeps spinning and does not tighten fully for some reason, so the chuck then does not stay on
