Has anyone experience of Aer Lingus Premium Economy? Trying to understand whether it’s worth the extra for long haul flights?

Aer Lingus don't have Premium Economy on longhaul flights - they have what is called Premium 'seats' on certain routes. Whether or not it's worth it is subjective but as you don't mention the route it's hard to give an opinion.

Thanks. Dub-Lax is the route. Presumably a premium seat is bulk head or similar? Skyscanner throws up an option of premium economy which is what prompted the question

Do a dummy booking on Aer Lingus and you can view the location of the seats. Alternatively look on seatguru.

    Book direct with the airlines.

Premium seat is any seat in the first 5-7 rows of economy

So you get to pick a seat and get to be one of the first off, same seat, same food, same legroom as any other seat

Other than that there is no value and with flights so lightly loaded currently you basically have free choice of seats at check in
