Demand Deposit Account- wish to close

    Good Morning,

    I have a Demand Deposit Account I wish to close. Do I need to make an appointment to close the account with my nearest branch (which is Naas) due to Covid 19 or can I just drop in and close the account? 

    Also what documents do I need to close the account?

    Thanks for getting in touch with us here today. To close your demand deposit account you would need to send a written instruction to your account holding branch with as much information as possible or visit your local bank of ireland branch with photo ID. Any of our colleagues here will be more than happy to help with this.
