DoH recommend winter supplement of Vitamin D for kids

A new government health promotion plan for the very young. On the cards a push for more iron(mostly via red meat) and strong encouragement to give kids a daily Vitamin D supplement during the winter. See no issue with the Vitamin D at all but some might find the unapologetic promotion of red meat distasteful!
Children aged between one and four should take Vitamin D supplements between Halloween and St Patrick's Day every year, under new guidelines issued by the Department of Health.

Are you one of these "some" or are you offended on their behalf?

Shepards pie, bolognaise, lasagna, beef caserole.

Brilliant winter warming meals and packed with iron

A delicious way to solve the problem.

For the adults, a steak and a guinness down the local.

Is it time to get offended?

Isn't Vitamin D a vitamin that has some connection with reducing the effects of Covid 19?

If so then it sounds like a good idea to me.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Many creatures can make their own vitamin D but somewhere along our evolution we humans lost that ability.

Shussssh! It doesn't help the immune system at all, take back off your tinfoil hat again and throw out any vitamin d in your press and vitamin c also while you're at it and just stick to the hand sanitiser and masks only. Why would anyone would want to supplement masks and sanitiser with simple and effective vit D
