Anyone flown Air France recently? Are they reliable?

I have to go to Paris a lot, and I am looking for an alternative to Aer Lingus. I do want to support our national airline* (OK, it's really IAG), but they keep cancelling my flights! They have now cancelled 3, maybe 4, of my flights during the pandemic and I no longer trust them.

How are Air France? They are more expensive, but I don't mind a bit of extra expense as long as they are reliable. Do they repeatedly cancel flights, or do other bad things?

    * or maybe Ryanair is now our national airline.

I used to fly that route a lot. You fly into a much better terminal in CDG than the hamster wheel Aer Lingus use. Downside is often use remote gates in Dublin and in Paris.

Smaller plane, better staff. Definitely my airline of choice to Paris.

ALL airlines have cancellations - it's just the luck of the draw.

AF don't use remote stands in Dublin. Only Aer Lingus use remote stands. AFAIK there's no remote stands being used at all at the moment in Dublin, even for EI Regional flights.

There only appears to have been one flight cancelled from DUB-CDG in the last month.

I have most definitely used remote stands with AF from Paris. Usually the last flight on a Sunday night

ALL airlines have cancellations - it's just the luck of the draw.

But not at the rate AL have been cancelling recently.

I suspect they advertise flights to test the response, and if not many people book a particular flight they just cancel it. I know airlines are feeling the pinch at the moment, but the practice feels a bit underhand.

For my latest cancellation, the initial fare was only €30 for a 12.45 pm flight. They suddenly rebooked me on a 7.00 am flight which is impossible to make from Limerick. I had to then pay an extra €22 to rebook on a different flight, plus they snuck in a €9 "admin" fee. The whole cost is around the same as Air France would have been if I'd booked with them originally.
