Where to dispose of old oil filters?

    As the title says, I'd like to know where to dispose of old oil filters for the DIY mechanic. I change oil on several cars a few times a year and I always take the used oil to my local Civic Amenity Site, but they don't seem to have any dedicated space for oil filters.

    Anyone know where to take the filters?
