Netflix - too much re-buffering.

I run Netflix from an iPad via a Google Chromecast.

    1. The scroll bar with the play/pause button regularly disappears from the iPad screen and I lose control over what I’m watching.

    2. What’s worse is the regular re-buffering of the stream during programs, making them unwatchable, particularly in the evenings.

Our wifi is excellent with everything else, though I presume that streaming Netflix is bandwidth-heavy.

Anyone else have problems with Netflix streaming?

    How might I improve it?

    Thanks.

    D.

Why not just run Netflix directly via the app on the iPad?

If I'm casting Netflix from my phone to the chromecast, the app regularly disappears so I cannot pause or stop it from the pull down menu on the home screen. It is irritating. I have to reopen the app, wait 30 seconds and then it pops up again so I can pause it.

    It only happens with Netflix.

    If I’m understanding you correctly...

I don’t do this because everyone in the room wants to watch the program on the television.

    Thanks.
