As one of the politicians on the show said it’s unlikely to be 200 and more like 2 people. I’d say it’s probably one person sat in his boxers.

All on the panel still gung-ho about vaccinating kids when it has been shown that the vaccines do not stop infection or transmission.

The issue is not actually transmission, the issue is getting infected and whilst most children are not severely affected , that can't be said for all . It's well known, vaccines don't stop transmission.

The show is just a party political broadcast on behalf of Communists in Ireland. Every show one Junior Minister no one cares about gets the **** kicked out of them by a one from the member of Sinn Fein, one from the hard line Trotskyists (PBP/RISE/Solidarity) and Katie who now makes no effort to hide her communist leanings.

At this point it's the same every week. You could play a show from 2 years ago and not notice the difference. Some of the behavior on the show is downright appalling and frequently crosses into bullying and intimidation (an episode where Brid Smith and Roisin Shorthall shouted at Jack Chambers for 60 minutes would have seen them expelled from office had the genders been reversed).

It used to be a great show taken seriously with balanced representation and heavy hitters from both sides. Now it really is time to just call it and put it out of it's misery.

I think that was Paul Murphy on today - if so, second time in a couple of days I find myself agreeing with him. First on attacking the proposed inflated spend on our defence force and second calling out the government hypocrisy when they refuse to reduce their tax take on rising energy costs.

I never agree with Paul Murphy normally. If that's any sort of random marker for the middle ground, this government is losing the dressing room.

Paul Murphy? Is he still in favour of Zero covid?

Have to say I agree with touts post…….This programme follows the same format week after week, an opportunity for a bunch of lefties to come in and have a flake at the poor churn who represents the govt, spurred on by the so called presenter who is shaking with anxiety to get her kicks in before anyone else.

Its pretty obvious what these lefties agenda is.…. What ever the Govt.do, they will do the opposite.

For example give the electricity grant to everybody……………… you should have spent months targeting it

Spend months targeting it ……. It’s too late ,you should have given it to everyone to get it distrubuted quickly!!!

Regarding yesterday I think that was Boyd-Barrett on with his usual stuff.

With these churns the is always one or two thing you agree with, however it’s with their whole agenda they would ruin the country in next to no time.

    Dangerous times ahead.

Minister Anne Rabbit was also on and to her credit, one of the very few Government Ministers to speak outside the box on occasion, but in fairness she's still not getting the reason why so many carer's have left the sector and why so few will ever return. Pay, T&C's are by all accounts shocking and I know that whilst home visits officially should be a minimum of 30 minutes, this not happening and carer's literally running in and out of patients home, rushing to the next patient such is the pressure they are under.

Brendan Courtney (who I can't abide) called in to talk about his mother's plight and to his credit made a moving and poignant contribution.

RBB was is usual mouthy self as too was the SF rep but in their defence, the current government just continue to make it easy for them to critise. Whilst I personally welcome the €200 electric rebate, middle earners / renters completely ignored.

Over the past few days, time and time again, Gov ministers, TD'S have been rolled out to talk about this apparently wonderful exceptional payment scheme, local and friendly CWO"s are apparently waiting to hand out vast sums of cash to the hard pressed. It is utter nonsense and clearly few if any Gov TD has either been in an Intero center, let alone understands how they operate, especially the Exceptional needs payment.

Not sure if others saw the late debate on Thursday but Fergus O Dowd TD FG was out to bat for government. He genuinely seems like the decent sort, not afraid to speak out etc but sadly, again absolutely clueless when it comes to how the SW system works.

That's my Sunday mornings Euros worth rant done 😉

Don't blame people for not being able to tell the difference between Rich Boy Barrett and Paul Murphy on the show. Two posh boys angling to be the communist supreme leader of Ireland so they can put daddy in the gulag.

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,797 ✭✭✭✭Wanderer78

you okay there? you do realise communism is long dead, and the two boyous are socialists, yea?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,234 ✭✭✭✭Furze99

Ah Boyd Barrett and Paul Murphy - not dissimilar accents and modes of speech. There's a few others too whose politics might be quite different, but who seem to be cut from a similar cultural background.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,432 ✭✭✭touts

You do realise that both Boyd Barrett and Murphy are Trotskyists. Trotsky was a communist. And quite a blood thirsty one at that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,047 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

Two well paid chancers, in my opinion.

I often wonder who the electorate are who vote for them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,699 ✭✭✭✭padd b1975

    Nope, they're definitely communists.

They try to keep it in the back of the bottom drawer but it occasionally makes an appearance.

Trotsky masterminded at least a million deaths in Eastern Europe as the communists imposed their will on the former Russian empire. But he ended up with an icepick in the skull so that makes him an okay guy in the eyes of Irish Socialists.

Grab the popcorn. Lynn Boylan is getting crucified by Philip Boucher Hayes over Sinn Fein being soft on Russia and on the abuse of women like Violet Anne Wynne in the party.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,047 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

Absolutely, which shows in the highest relief possible, how poor Nooze Hannons ‘moderation’ is.

Hannon would have gone high note with her own agenda and piled in with Boylan.and anyone else to get a cut at those in charge.

what chance will there be that PBH deserves and gets the gig.

    ZERO.

Louise O'Reilly just got her ass handed to her when she came on to complain about days of delays at Dublin Airport for Ukrainian refugees and Joe O'Brien tells her the wait is less than two hours and they have opened extra offices. Her response: will there be overtime for the office staff. Stunned silence in the studio with the stupidity of her question. 🤣

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,919 ✭✭✭✭Dempo1

I'm baffled by all that is being allegedly promised to Ukranian refugees at Dublin Airport. We've been led to believe, time and time again, PPS numbers, Medical Cards, SW access being arranged at point of entry. Now it appears Refugees being "assisted" with applications.

Minister Joe O Brien (Greens) appears a little confused .

I also thought these promises a little far fetched.

People actually here and not refugees waiting weeks for PPS numbers (you've only got to look at the DEASP twitter feed)

Medical card applications can take weeks for a citizen and even if you qualify, it's near impossible to get a GP and forget about Dental treatments, as for hospital access , that's a farce as it is.

God only knows what the housing arrangements are, all well and good 1,000's of people offering accommodation but that's only a temporary fix and possibly completely impractical to accommodate these refugees in very rural locations.

This is a train wreck waiting to happen. I absolutely believe we should welcome these Ukranian refugees but there's an awful lot of promises being offered, I can't see how they'll be fulfilled.

I won't get started on the existing refugees stuck in Direct provision centre's but it would appear to be a two tier refugee system is evident.
