Some really tasty matches this week.

Was really looking forward to the Cam v Russ show. But that 1.20am start has really put a dampener on things.

So I'm gonna do that again:

    Texans @ Chiefs
    Dolphins @ Patriots
    Raiders @ Panthers
    Colts @ Jaguars
    Bears @ Lions
    Browns @ Ravens
    Jets @ Bills
    Packers @ Vikings
    Seahawks @ Falcons
    Eagles @ Football Team
    Chargers @ Bengals
    Buccaneers @ Saints
    Cardinals @ 49ers
    Cowboys @ Rams
    Steelers @ Giants
    Titans @ Broncos

    I guess...
Seems I was right to do it again...

    8-8 on my original picks

But for the Lions and Eagles shítting the bed that would have been a tasty opening salvo.

Anyway, 10-6 heading into week 2.

    Bengals @ Browns
    Vikings @ Colts
    49ers @ Jets
    Bills @ Dolphins
    Falcons @ Cowboys
    Lions @ Packers
    Rams @ Eagles
    Giants @ Bears
    Broncos @ Steelers
    Jaguars @ Titans
    Panthers @ Buccaneers
    Washington @ Cardinals
    Chiefs @ Chargers
    Ravens @ Texans
    Patriots @ Seahawks
    Saints @ Raiders

That all seems fairly obvious. Meaning the Lions and Dolphins will win and I'll somehow slump to 6-10

Lions fans up in arms this week, when it was revealed that the officiating crew that gifted the Packers a win last year during a MNF game, by blowing 2 hands to face decisions, have been re-assigned to Lions -Packers again this year. You couldn't make it up:rolleyes:

Anyway onto this weeks picks. 8-8 going in.

    Bengals @ Browns
    Vikings @ Colts
    49ers @ Jets
    Bills @ Dolphins
    Falcons @ Cowboys
    Lions @ Packers

Not a bad TNF game to start the weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 228 ✭✭ipitydafool

Yeah was a good game alright, can see that Browns HC has made a difference in them going forward- the play action and run game was excellent- Chubb and Hunt the best RB duo in league? They absolutely gashed the Bengals but wouldnt be hard, their DEF looks as bad as last year. Brown defense nothing to shout home about either, fair enough have some pass rush with Garret and Richardson but should of stopped far more drives of the bengals than they did and gave away some stupid penatlies- an opposing QB going 5 for 5 on 4th downs against you is not a good reflection imo.

Was impressed with Burrow though,he v composed for a rookie and though he had ridic amount of pass attempts, had to go short alot as his O line was nearly worse than their defense, no 74 for them was on his arse more times and couldnt block to save his life. If they dont get him some protection then think it will be sorta like what happened Andrew Luck with Colts, you can only get smashed so much early in your career.

Jags Dolphins for TNF next week though, woof at one

That wasn’t a bad TNF game at all. It had the potential to be a mess but it wasn’t and Cleveland looked much better on offense than last week and maybe the state of Ohio in pro football may be emerging for years of utter sadness.

The eagles have the players that were injured last week back this week so hopefully we get a better and more complete performance from the birds.

Saw that as I was checking for blackouts(which there isn’t btw). I can’t say much given the eagles have already fumbled the ball.

    Horrific start for the Giants.

    FFS Jones..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,472 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Been waiting all off season to see Robert Quinn, Akiem Hicks and Khalil Mack out there together causing mayhem and the Giants o-line is probably the best game to see it for the first time.

2nd down Hicks destroys the guard and tackles Barkley for a loss.
3rd down Quinn strip sacks Jones and Mack recovers.

Trubisky has had a great start, Miller should have caught that for a second td really. Very nice start, nothing flashy but really solid.

    FFS Jones..

    On him or the OL?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,472 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Sounds like a horror start for the Niners from what I'm reading on twitter. Jimmy G hurt his knee and Bosa has been carted off holding his knee too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,638 ✭✭✭phatkev

Nick Bosa carted of for the 49ers and one play later it looks like Thomas is in trouble, they'll be lucky to finish with a d line at this rate

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,698 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Well at least the cowboys are having a nightmare so far.

    TD rams 14-3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,698 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

    The eagles defense is shocking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Packers D given up a lot of points through 5 quarters this season

Lions looking good. Just gotta maintain it for 4 quarters instead of usual 3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,941 ✭✭✭krustydoyle

    On him or the OL?

Both but he holds the ball for way too long and the OL can't obsorb that kind of pressure

Might be just a bad day but maybe it's the disrupted preseason coming back to haunt teams?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,698 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Are these injuries a delayed reaction to no preseason and a different off season ?

If you're the Cowboys, you're just powering off the PlayStation at this stage.

Players really need to stop hurdling. David Montgomery just landed on his head/neck. Hopefully he's alright but he couldn't get up after.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,698 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

TD rams 21-3 rams. The eagles defense are taking social distancing a bit far. Jesus h Christ.
