Does anyone know at what mileage this should be changed?

I'm buying one and the dealer said that he'd change it before sale if if's within 10k mile or so. It's on 53,000 miles now.

Thats approx 85/86k kms. Timing belt change should be around the 150k or 10yr mark. However, I would have a look at it yourself for and wear and tear.

Which engine is it? Are you looking at the current model Mondeo?
Old model 1.6 was 10 years /125 miles
    Newer 1.5 is 10 years/150 miles with the 2.0 being 120000 miles/10 years.

I think they did the 1.6 in the new model for a while too early on.

Drive a 1.5 before you commit to buying if that’s what you’re after. I found them frustratingly slow taking off at low speed into roundabouts/junctions.

Turns out I'm wrong. It's a 1.9l. Nice bus. Waiting to see what they'll offer me on a trade in.

    There is no 1.9l Mondeo.

That said, the 2.0 would be 1997cc or whatever

Great. A very refined car with an enormous boot.

Yeah I couldn't get over the size of the boot. This one has a hitch as well which is good for added a handy bike rack.
