Nervous buyer

Can't believe how nervous a buyer I've become !!. Need to buy in next few weeks - Golf-size, petrol and ~€11k budget. I've taken all advice here to heart. Focus ruled out due to turbo risks, no decent Leons in range and think I can get 2014/5 i30 - prob 2 years newer than Golf for my budget. Something like:

Two quick questions: other than mph on Speedo - should I be ok with UK version once from a reputable dealer ?. And - is it necessary to have a mechanic check it (I can understand if private purchase - but decent dealer ???). Looked at some in Capital Motors too - but solocheck tells me company wound-up 2006 !!.
Finding this way more stressful than anticipated !!.
    Thanks, K

Thanks - in fairness everything about their adds looks right - I'm just becoming paranoid. Feel like a golfer/snooker- player with the yips !!
