Being able to digest and decipher stats so you can see for yourself how you’re being had by NPHET.

I pity people who can’t think critically and need to be spoon fed soundbites to ‘know’ things.

The irony of people who haven't a qualification to their name, sponge off the dole for years on end, probably didn't even complete their Leaving Certificate and criticise others for being unable to think critically.......

I was out walking on a prom on the coast today with Herself and saw a family going out sailing on a lovely new looking yacht, and felt a pang of envy. That looked bloody nice so it did. What a way to spend a sunny afternoon. I stopped and watched them for a bit and then continued on my walk. When I looked back to the path in front there were a couple of women pushing some severely disabled people along in wheelchairs, and then I thought to myself f**k the yacht, being able to walk along the coast on a sunny afternoon with the other half is gift enough for me. Bitta perspective gained!

Tbf, I mentioned nothing of a conspiracy. You’re assuming because I’m questioning NPHET and the subsequent acceptance of the advice by the government, I’m a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist. You’re proving my point.

10,561 ‘new cases’ in France today. Higher than when it all began. Yet no corresponding increase in hospital admissions, ICU admissions and subsequent deaths in line with the figures in March-May. Similar trajectory and media rhetoric in Ireland.

But just keep wearing your masks and take this weekend seriously or else NPHET and the Government ‘will not hesitate’ to reimpose lock down again. Smh.

Have you copped how it’s strange that 81 of Ireland’s best and brightest judges, ‘industry leaders’, politicians (both current and ex) saw fit to meet up and ‘threaten their family and friends’ with later known-contact transmission of this supposedly deadly virus?

Serious thread drift, I agree. But acknowledging the posts that followed up my initial one.

Health an obvious one. Love another. Whether that be familial or romantic or social. Like Sky King says and he's dead right IMHO perspective is a biggie. I've long noted that those folks I've known who suffered from clinical depression about the first thing to go is perspective. I reckon if you could invent a perspective pill it would alleviate a sh1t ton of the effects of depression and anxiety. Another one I'd add is energy, physical and mental(again lacking in depression). A purpose, a goal in life that goes fulfilled another.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
