    My car failed on suspension imbalance.
    Front axle imbalance: 55%. Failure

    162 Audi 1st NCT test, still under 12 month warranty (got only Dec 2019 from Audi Sanyford).

    any suggestion how could this car failed?

    Will Audi cover the fee to get it fixed and my retest fees?

    Could be a number of things but most likely is a failed shock absorber. Should be covered by your warranty, can't see them covering the retest fee though, unfortunately.

    many thanks for your reply.

    so what exactly they did last Dec ? is possble after 110 checks and still 55% imbanace (only add 10K so far on the milleage)? I am not sure i can trust Audi anymore!!

    that what Audi say ---->

    110 exacting checks
    Audi Approved plus 110 point check
    Before becoming an Audi Approved :plus car, every pre-owned Audi must pass 110 inspections. This includes mechanical, interior and exterior checks.

    Should the 110 point check highlight any servicing work that is required, Audi Centre will carry this out to ensure the car meets our meticulous standards. Most importantly, we only use Audi Genuine parts, which come with a two year warranty.

    Has the car sat in your driveway since you bought it?

    Yes, a shock absorber could definitely fail in 10,000 kms or 9 months, all it takes is one bad bump.

    VW/ Audi are desperate for failing shock absorbers. To be fair, you're lucky their used car warranty covers them, a lot of brands class them as wear and tear and flat out do not cover them.

    We are now assuming it's a shock though, it could be anything.

    VW made Beetles and Kubelwagens (including amphibious ones), Audi (Horch, DKW,Wanderer and Audi) made race cars, limousines, luxury cars and a few troop carriers and APC’s for the Nazi regime. Porsche was the tank builder and designer.

    Check the old fashioned way, press the corners down and see if one end bounces more times. 55% is a lot. Probably feel it in the handling.
