    Hi all
Anybody else notice that RTE and Newstalk are off air in West Cork?
This happens frequently. I have tried all my radios and no signal. I can get them on Astra 2 and on the TV.

Outage at Mullaghanish (and affecting other subsidiary transmitters in Counties Cork and Kerry fed from there).

Came back on air some minutes past 1PM

Aertel P169 may mention transmitter outages (though wasn't updated in a while the last I saw it)

    2rn twitter did mention it:
    Sep 6
2rn- Mullaghanish, Co. Cork. Complete outage of up to 3 hours on FM Radio services between 09:00 and 17:00 on 9th or 10th September. Weather dependent.

Thanks for that info. I tried looking on line for info about the outage.

I forgot about looking at AERTEL. AERTEL pages are no longer online it seems! Just links to certain pages which are also online which doesn't seem to include page 169.

What ever they did the signal is greatly improved from Mullaghanish Bantry and Castletownbere, RTE and Newstalk have never sounded so strong.
    Cheers
