Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

This thread is not good for new health eating regime. Will have to resist popping in for awhile!

Yeah there's usually loads of selection boxes reduced to a euro or so.....but last couple of years very slim pickings.

I picked up half price mcvities biscuits and half price Jaffa cakes hamper today, in dunnes

On 27 Dec I got dunnes Belgian choc biscuits, baileys sweets, milk tray and Kimberly tins half price but the aisle was fairly bleak. No novelty chocolate... selection boxes/figures etc.

My Aldi have Christmas puddings half price at 4.99.

They are the ones boxed like a cracker.

I don't eat them so no idea if they are tasty or not.

Funnily enough, think this is the earliest into a new year we've ever gone without having any Christmas related treats left to munch on. Suspect thats totally down to not actually being at home over Christmas this year, we 100% bought way less than we normally would.

Must remember to not make that mistake again!😉 January is the one month you need the odd treat to help lift the mood.

When I'm stuck, I go for toast with mincemeat (I heat up the mincemeat in the microwave).

I'm the same we didn't buy as much as we were in Tipp for a bit of the Christmas so we don't have much lingering... I won't have anything for Rudolph day I put it that way haha

First Rudolph day this day week, I'll be down in Westport so will need to make sure I wear some of the many christmas socks I have nowadays!

Doesn't seem quite so bad when the first Rudolph Day is only a week away!

The gap between Christmas Day & the January one feels longer than it should IMO. Given we have the extra week to New years & the 12 days of Christmas you'd think the day would come around quite quickly, but January being January its rarely the case.

Just looking at the calendar and i reckon by getting paid this day week and January lasting basically another week after that will have the month having its customary 'arse dragged feel' by the time February rocks around.

I’ve about 4 tubs of sweets and a box of selection boxes in my car…. Kept them out of eye level on purpose otherwise I’d have eaten them all by now 😂

I have no chocolate biscuit cake puddings.

I'll PM you my address in case you want to right this wrong. 😂

    🤣

The smallest one I bought for myself. The second was a gift and has orange liqueur and cardamom. Notions!

Just found 3 tubs of quality street in the press. Good dates on them so I reckon they'll be Rudolph day treats for a few months.
