Looking to buy a used Toyota approved car (2017 or later). Local Toyota dealer doesn’t have what I’m looking for but I could get one further afield but I’m wondering what would be the disadvantages of that like if I had problems with the car and didn’t want to travel back to a further away dealer. Would the 12 month warranty apply at any Toyota dealer? Any other things to be aware of?

The old ‘Toyota Dealer Cover’ could be used in any dealer, it’s called Toyota Plus now so it may have changed. I’m pretty sure this is a Toyota Ireland warranty so should be the same.
This is dependant on the dealer actually purchasing the warranty from Toyota Ireland so make sure they’re not just covering the 12 months themselves.

Toyota website says all new Toyotas come with a 3 year pan European warranty. So I'd presume if its less than 3 years old it'll still have some of that left.

Yeah but even a 181 could be out of warranty in 4 months.

When will the influx of 201 lease cars be returning to dealers :D

I think if it's a hybrid it needs to have annual battery health check to maintain 8 year/100k miles warranty on the battery pack, make sure this has been completed.
