I thought someone would have started a thread on this. I know this isn't a political forum but it is worth a discussion I think, as long as there is no bickering between people who have opposing views of this person.
I think people find him fascinating maybe in a macabre way, especially the journey he made from terrorist to statesman. It was better than the Gerry Ryan doc anyway, that glossed over his vices too much I thought. Not that I am comparing Gerry Ryan to Martin McGuinness btw.

I can see why you didn't post this in a political forum.

Remember that time McGuinness torpedo'd Sean Gallagher during a live presidential debate.

And the time he collapsed the Stormomt assembly, and Cash for Ash Snarlene is ironically still first minister.

These are just some things I remember.

Look this man was in the IRA. I don't think we can realistically admire him, cos we don't have the full picture of what he's done.

He had a lot of innocent blood on his hands which can never be made up for. I dispise his tactics and actions but McGuinness seemed like one of the few in the Sinn Fein who genuinely was fighting for the people. Sadly looking at the current lineup of Sinn Fein leadership I think most of them are in it for themselves.
