2008 BMW 520d auto won't start every now and then

    I have as above 520d auto 2008, every now and then after a journey, long or short, turn it off and if I come back to start inside 10 mins, the dash lights up as normal but nothing, if I leave it 10 mins it starts first time then, happens maybe every second week, have had it on diagnostic and shows nothing everything is cleared down

    Is it turning over when you are trying to start it? When was the fuel filter last changed?

    Little sensor that says it's in Park might be faulty,

    No nothing just all lights on dash as normal, nothing happens, will lock into sensor thanks
