Hi all. The CIM module in my zafira steering wheel is faulty, resulting in no car horn. Garage are looking for too much to replace, so I was going to get a local mechanic to fit an interior button on dash somewhere, safely wired to the horn etc. Would it pass the nct if I got this work completed, or does that type of mod only apply to vans/doe. Thanks.

Yes it will pass. Just make the tester aware of it before the start of the test, and if you could label it some way.

Thanks, as i have been told differently. If I contact the nct themselves, would they confirm or are they not open to communication with the public?.
