EIR Broadband Getting worse and worse - HELP

    Hi,
We have been on EIR Broadband for years and renewed back in march.
They sent a new Modem but stuck with our F2000.
However, we are getting WIFI drops every day now and sometimes twice daily.

Even when the Internet is down and i am logged on to the router - saying its connected.
    Apprehensive about calling EIR Support.

Can anyone point me in the direction of how to replace the Router or how to log on as admin and switch off WIFI so a connected TP-Link Archer C50 can take over ?

    Any help at all appreciated.
Not super techniocal but can follow guides pretty well.

I have spent hours and hours on boards trying to research fixing Eir Broadband, Replacing F2000 etc.
I went ahead and bought the TP-Link Archer C50 AC1200 for £29 from amazon.

Then I followed the "EIR F2000 configure for Bridge Mode" written by Cottse. Can be found at -
    https://cottse.wordpress.com/2016/01/27/eir-f2000-configure-for-bridge-mode/

All my wireless connections and Ethernet connections are now going through my TP-Link Archer C50 AC1200.
Will report back in a few days to see if I have had to still reboot the F2000 daily.

    We are having similar problems
    Multiple drops throughout the day

2 in the house working from home and require a stable connection but it’s chronic at the moment

As you say the router is saying connected but clearly it’s not

Contemplating Google/Nest WiFi mesh to help but not sure if the actual problem is WiFi as I seem to be getting drops on a wired (through homeplug) connection also

Is there any way to monitor the connection to prove that it is dropping?

You can get apps on your phone that can watch network.
I installed a new F3000 Eir modem and everything is working fine now.
No more drops and haven’t had to switch the router off since installing.
Must have been my old F2000 giving up the ghost.
Would recommend trying to get EIR to send you a new modem first to see if that fixes the issues ..
