EWSS 'connected parties'....

Following clarification today it's now clear that the director in the company that I look after the payroll for is eligible for EWSS.

The question is regarding their spouse. They started working in the company at the beginning of August, are they a 'connected person' for EWSS purposes? I can't find anything definitive anywhere.....

The only reference I can find is on revenue's site where it states:

    Exceptions include:

Newly Hired Connected Parties who were not on the payroll and paid at any time between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020. Connected parties include brothers, sisters, linear ancestors, linear descendants, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews of an individual and their spouse.

Does the 'and their spouse' here refer to brothers, sisters...etc of the spouse are connected parties, but not the spouse themselves?

    Spouse is a connected party.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

Thanks - that is what I thought (it doesn't make sense the other way), but the wording is unclear and I wanted to double check...
