I have purchased 18mm Lignum engineered oak wood flooring for my bedroom

    The subfloor is timber

The flooring manufacturer recommends to float the floor on an adhesive underlay called Elastilon, which is very hard to source and is approx €187 for 15m2 roll, ex delivery!

I am considering this product instead.. I would like the floor to feel as solid as possible underfoot

Any recommendations ? I am having a carpenter fit the floors
