I really enjoyed it, there was a huge amount packed into the half hour.

They must have put a lot of time into the research, you don't see many mentions of Albion Market this century.

Also, I never knew Alan Partridge appeared in Brookside !

    And donald Trump in crossroads...

I loved the cheese fade as well as the emmerdale farm theme tune

I didn't think it was that great to be honest. Some funny bits, but almost nothing compared to what TV Burp would have given. If anything it could have done with being an hour long, to give enough time to explaining the history of soaps etc and more time to truly explore soap tropes, like the wedding and Christmas montages.

i'm a Harry fan and i must say i didn't enjoy it - not one laugh, not even a smirk from me

it's just a lazy half hour filler

All a bit strange for me in that Harry Hill screams ITV (and yes Channel 4 in his youth) so it just feels wrong on BBC Two. The "two teas" clip tsunami made me laugh for it's sheer mindless repetition.

He had a show on channel 4 called harry hills clubnite very recently, if was uneven but some brilliant acts on it.
