Recommendation for "cheap" all-rounder desktop?

By all-rounder I mean some gaming (although have the PS4 / Xbone for that, but wanna get in on the Steam / Humble Bundle bargains! :) ), but also for video editing, which I know often means a fair jump in price. Am I mad? :p

Haven't had a desktop in many years, but looking to add one to the set up now.

    So what would be possible for €600 / €800? 500GB SSD+2TB HDD / 16GB I guess.

The main thing will be the GFX card I spose?

Have a 50" TV - can that be used OK as a monitor (I use it for gaming / streaming, etc.)?

Have a surround sound system too (5.1, optical in) - is there a min spec sound card?

Anyone have a similar set-up or recommendations?
